Position Summary
As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for driving the growth of sales and revenue within your assigned territory or vertical. You will develop and execute strategies to identify new business opportunities, nurture existing client relationships, and close high-value deals. This is an individual contributor role, with no direct reports, allowing you to focus on high-level strategic sales execution.
This role is an office-based position, on a hybrid schedule, working at least three times weekly from the office. Our ideal candidate will work from our location in Teterboro, NJ at the Teterboro airpark.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven track record of success in sales, with at least 7 years of experience in a sales role.
- Strong ability to close complex deals, manage a sales pipeline, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Exceptional presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and articulate the value of complex products/services to clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate through challenges in the sales process.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tools.
- College degree from an accredited college or university
- Ability to work a flexible schedule

Main Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to target new clients, grow existing accounts, and achieve sales goals in alignment with company objectives.
- Business Development: Identify and prospect new business opportunities through research, networking, and cold outreach. Develop a robust sales pipeline and forecast revenue.
- Influencer/Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong connections with key influencers and vendors that align with the company’s brand values and business growth goals, driving revenue through new lead generation, repeat business, and network expansion to enhance sales performance.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring satisfaction, repeat business, and upsell opportunities.
- Sales Cycle Management: Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact and qualification through to closing and post-sales follow-up, ensuring timely and successful delivery of solutions.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies, product offerings, and client needs.
- Sales Metrics & Reporting: Track and report on sales performance against targets, analyze trends, and provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress and challenges.
- Market Insights: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations and deal structuring, ensuring favorable terms for the company while meeting client needs.
- Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network

- Must be proactive, efficient, customer focused and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Knowledge of aviation technologies such as aircraft range, speed, capacity, landing requirements, etc., and how these might affect the customer’s selection of an aircraft for a particular mission.
- Experience in aerospace field sales and some experience with high value or luxury goods/services
- Pilots license or significant experience with a general aviation manufacturer beneficial
- Strong customer centricity
- Strong project management experience
- Quality driven with a passion for excellence to represent Jet Aviation as a Brand Ambassador
- Strong business acumen, motivation, and energy
- Positive and engaging demeanor, with ability to engage with multiple transaction parties and manage conflicting objectives in a balanced and objective manner
