Position Summary

As Director & General Manager of FBO Services at Teterboro (TEB), you will occupy one of the most pivotal leadership roles within Jet Aviation’s global operations. Charged with full accountability for the strategic direction, safety, and financial performance of our flagship Fixed-Base Operation, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team of approximately 150 professionals. This team spans department managers, supervisors, and frontline staff covering customer service, line service, ground support, vehicle maintenance, aircraft cleaning, and fuel farm operations. Your leadership will not only set the tone for service excellence but will also embody our core values of Trust, Honesty, Alignment, and Transparency in every action and decision.

 

In this high-stakes environment, you will serve as the principal orchestrator of concurrent, large-scale projects—ranging from hangar expansions and sustainability initiatives to advanced technology rollouts and safety enhancements. You will develop and execute integrated project plans that synchronize people, processes, and resources across multiple stakeholders, ensuring on-time delivery without compromising quality or regulatory compliance. Your ability to anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and adapt quickly will be essential to maintaining uninterrupted operations and safeguarding our reputation for seamless customer experiences.

 

Reporting directly to the VP of FBO Operations, you will manage the full P&L for the TEB facility, driving revenue growth through innovative service offerings, optimized resource utilization, and disciplined cost control. You will partner closely with internal teams in Sales, Completions, Finance, HR, and Marketing, as well as external partners including airport authorities, regulatory agencies, and key vendors. Through transparent communication and data-driven decision-making, you will align diverse interests toward a shared vision of operational mastery and guest satisfaction.

Your Profile

You are a seasoned aviation professional with a track record of leading concurrent, complex projects and delivering exceptional service. You inspire trust through transparent communication, elevate team performance, and champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement. You combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, and your commercial awareness drives sustainable growth.

 

Your profile includes:

 

  • A minimum of 10 years in corporate aviation operations, including at least five years leading multi-departmental teams
  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, financial controls, and performance metrics to exceed KPIs
  • Proven ability to design and implement training programs that elevate service quality and operational efficiency
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance (FAA, OSHA, EPA, airport authority) and fuel farm safety protocols
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, negotiating tenant contracts and fostering vendor partnerships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is a strong plus
  • A bachelor’s degree in aviation management, business administration, or related field (preferred)

Your Role

  • Lead and align all FBO departments to Jet Aviation’s safety, quality, and service excellence standards, embedding our values of Trust, Honesty, Alignment, and Transparency into daily operations.
  • Orchestrate concurrent projects and initiatives—hangar expansions, training rollouts, sustainability efforts—ensuring timely delivery and seamless coordination across teams.
  • Drive financial performance through rigorous budget management, KPI tracking, and continuous process optimization.
  • Oversee fuel farm operations, enforcing rigorous safety protocols, inventory controls, and environmental compliance.
  • Cultivate a customer-centric environment, partnering with sales, marketing, and charter teams to anticipate needs and elevate guest experiences.
  • Develop and mentor leaders and front-line staff, fostering a high-impact culture of accountability, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Negotiate, manage, and enforce FBO tenant contracts, ensuring alignment with Jet Aviation and airport authority requirements.
  • Represent Jet Aviation in industry forums, regulatory agencies, and the General Dynamics network, reinforcing our reputation as a brand ambassador.

Additional Details

This role is on location at the Teterboro airpark. The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range for this exempt position will be as follows: $170,000 - $200,000 plus a performance-based bonus up to 20% of annual salary.

 

Aviation operates on a dynamic schedule—things can change fast, and our success depends on team members who can adapt. This location formally operates 24 hours daily, 7 days weekly.
