Position Summary
Responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the line service department, including. Also responsible for the department personnel, including but not limited to line service supervisors, leads, and line service technicians. Ensure friendly and efficient service to our customers, and adherence to all customer service operating procedures. This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of this unit.
Work Schedule & Compensation
Aviation operates on a dynamic schedule, and flight activity, customer requirements, weather, and airport conditions can change quickly. The successful candidate must be able to support a flexible, around-the-clock operation and adjust working hours when necessary to maintain leadership coverage and operational continuity.
Jet Aviation Teterboro formally operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. This position may require evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and additional coverage during peak traffic, severe weather, special events, ground stops, ramp congestion, or other irregular operations.
The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range for this non-exempt position will be as follows: $38.00 - $41.00 hourly which is equivalent to $79,040 - $85,280 annually, plus a performance-based bonus.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 7 years of Line & Ramp experience
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Must have a valid state driver license
- Certificate form NATA Line Service training program
- Must be able to pass an FAA required 10-year background check
Main Responsibilities
- Supervises and maintains adherence to the Standards of Excellence for courteous customer service, grooming and dress code.
- Supervises and manages on a daily basis the line service supervisors, leads, and line service technicians.
- Enhances and reinforces training programs to ensure a high and continuing level of customer service and safety is maintained by the department.
- Establishes schedules and assign individual duties to the supervisors, leads, senior personnel and related positions.
- In partnership with the human resources department, interviews applicants for all open positions within the department.
- In partnership with the human resources department, takes an active role in the hiring, dismissal, discipline, training, retraining, evaluation process, and counseling of employees.
- Prepares the necessary materials used in evaluating and assessing the performance of all personnel within the department.
- Reviews the daily fuel activity reports to ensure all fuel sales are being delivered and recorded properly.
- Responsible for the daily review of payroll and the approval of time worked for all line service employees.
- Communicates changes or additions to Company or departmental policies to the staff.
- Motivates and encourage the supervisors, leads and all employees within the department to provide the highest service levels

- Has the ability to perform all duties of the personnel working under the assigned departments during critical times including but not limited to towing, wing-walking, deicing, RCC, etc.
- Assumes additional responsibilities in the absence of the Sr. Manager of Line Service and delegate responsibilities to qualified personnel, as required.
- Responsible for the performance of all the employees within the assigned departments according to their job descriptions.
- Interacts with tenants, vendors, and all other customers to ensure quality service.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all ground equipment.
- Responsible for compliance with all airport rules and regulations, including but not limited to OSHA and EPA.
- Performs other responsibilities as needed or required.
- Represents Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network.

The employee will primarily work in a communications and operations-center environment but must also be able to work in ramp, hangar, maintenance, and customer-facing areas. The role may involve exposure to aircraft, moving vehicles, machinery, vibration, noise, weather, and occasional fuel fumes. Employees must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions when operational duties require ramp access.
