Position Summary
The Lobby Ambassador plays a critical role in delivering a 5‑star customer experience within a high‑traffic Fixed Base Operation (FBO). This position serves as the primary customer‑facing representative, ensuring that passengers, crew, visitors, and business partners receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive to the moment they depart. The Lobby Ambassador provides concierge-level hospitality, manages lobby presentation and amenities, assists with customer service functions, and coordinates with internal teams to support seamless operational performance.
Minimum Requirements
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, aviation, concierge services, or luxury service environments preferred.
• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments strongly beneficial.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong customer-service orientation and ability to anticipate guest needs.
• Professional presence, poise, and polished demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain composed under pressure.
• Knowledge of local area attractions, businesses, and services.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and communication tools.
Main Responsibilities
- Welcome passengers, crew, guests, and visitors, delivering a professional and positive customer experience.
- Escort customers safely throughout the FBO, including ramp and curbside areas.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure timely, seamless service.
- Respond to inquiries regarding FBO services, flight operations, and local amenities.
- Anticipate customer needs and provide personalized assistance, including luggage coordination and transportation arrangements.
- Maintain knowledge of local restaurants, hotels, transportation options, attractions, and events.
- Keep the lobby, customer areas, and amenity stations clean, organized, stocked, and aligned with company standards.
- Monitor inventory and ensure food, beverage, and amenity items meet quality and expiration requirements.
- Assist with conference room setups, catering coordination, and special events.
- Communicate customer requests effectively with line service, concierge, and operations teams.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support VIP arrivals and departures with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Follow all safety procedures, ramp protocols, and airport regulations.
- Assist with lobby traffic management and customer transitions during peak operational periods.
- Coordinate with operational teams to support efficient aircraft movements and customer flow.
- Utilize phones, radios, and internal communication systems professionally and effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule and Compensation
Aviation operates on a dynamic schedule—things can change fast, and our success depends on team members who can adapt. We are looking for team members who thrive in a dynamic, around-the-clock operation and are open to working a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the operation, customers, and crews.
- We formally operate 24 hours daily, 7 days weekly.
- The 1st shift (morning 7 am - 3 pm) will be the initial assignment, with the potential for changes over time as our business needs and opportunities evolve.
This role is on-site, based out of our location in Teterboro, NJ. The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range for this non-exempt position will be as follows: $22 - 24 hourly which is equivalent to $45,000 - $49,000 annually plus a performance-based bonus up to 5% of annual salary.

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart.
The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
