As a Workshop Technician (Painter), you will carry out painting, refinishing, repair, and touch-up work on aircraft interiors and exteriors. You’ll work alongside experienced aviation professionals in a safety-focused environment, with opportunities to develop your technical skills and grow your career.

Main Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare, paint, repair, and touch up aircraft interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Perform high-quality paint finishing work both in the workshop and on aircraft.
  • Use spray guns, sanders, grinders, and other painting and finishing equipment.
  • Read and follow material specifications, drawings, and engineering instructions.
  • Ensure aircraft are properly protected throughout the painting process.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, 5S, and housekeeping.
  • Contribute ideas and improvements to make our processes safer, more efficient, and cost-effective.
  • Keep workshop tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Complete work records and use our systems to track materials and work progress.
  • Support other workshop activities as required.

Minimum Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in paint finishing, automotive, industrial, or aerospace painting is preferred.
  • A background in aerospace or aircraft painting is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working at heights, on ladders and platforms, and in confined spaces.
  • Experience using painting and workshop equipment such as spray guns, sanders, grinders, lifts, or forklifts.
  • Trade school certification or apprenticeship is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints or engineering documentation is an advantage.

Work Environment

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
