Purchaser

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchaser to support our procurement operations within a fast-paced aviation environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and procurement of a wide range of products, equipment, and services, while working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.

You will play a key role in building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring that all purchases meet the highest standards of quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery in alignment with budgetary and operational requirements.

Main Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, parts, components, tools, and equipment from approved suppliers and subcontractors in full compliance with aviation regulations and company procedures
• Identify, evaluate, and propose new local and international suppliers for review and inclusion in the approved supplier list
• Expedite parts, services, and materials in line with operational urgency while adhering to company policies and contractual obligations
• Source and purchase aircraft consumables to support inventory replenishment and operational readiness
• Manage and process invoices and pre-invoices related to work orders where applicable, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Maintain effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement activities
• Support accurate record-keeping and reporting of procurement activities as required

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification
• Relevant vocational training, technical apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a purchasing/procurement role, preferably within the aviation industry
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, policies, and best practices
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
• Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with SAP system will be an advantage

Work Environment

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
