Position Summary

As a B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at Jet Aviation, you will be an integral member of our dedicated maintenance team, responsible for performing a wide range of aircraft maintenance tasks in line with Jet Aviation procedures and aviation regulatory requirements. You will work under Part 145 approval, adhering to health and safety policies, customer requirements, and all relevant airworthiness standards, ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and regulatory requirements. This includes inspecting, repairing, and replacing parts, systems, and components using appropriate tools and equipment.

  • Conduct and oversee aircraft inspections, modifications, and repairs within the scope of your license.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with aircraft systems and components, using diagnostic equipment, performing tests, and analyzing data to identify root causes.

  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, including airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and other mandatory maintenance standards.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records using computerized maintenance management systems, including schedules, work performed, and parts used.

  • Communicate effectively with pilots, maintenance personnel, and management, providing clear explanations of technical issues and collaborating to resolve problems.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety policies, ensuring proper maintenance of tools and equipment, and mitigating hazards.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to other maintenance personnel, sharing best practices and simplifying complex technical concepts.

  • Ensure safety, quality, and timeliness in all maintenance activities.

  • Execute and oversee off-base aircraft projects as needed, maintaining compliance and operational standards without local supervision.

  • Support Aircraft Maintenance Supervisors in coordinating and overseeing technicians to ensure efficient task execution.

  • Perform other duties as required to support operational and business objectives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Completed a mechanical or technical apprenticeship, preferably in aviation or a related field
  • Holds a valid aircraft maintenance license without limitations (e.g., CAAS, EASA Part 66 B1 and/or B2, FAA A&P, or other relevant license in accordance with local regulatory requirements)
  • Possesses at least one relevant aircraft type rating, preferably on B737 MAX and/or Gulfstream aircraft
  • Demonstrated experience in a Part 145 or equivalent maintenance environment
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP or similar maintenance management systems
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate maintenance tasks using technical manuals
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively
  • Able to manage priorities efficiently and work in a dynamic operational environment
  • Additional qualifications and competencies may be required in accordance with the relevant Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)

Work Environment

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
