Position Summary

The Accountant (Accounting & Treasury) will be responsible for key accounting functions related to the general ledger, fixed assets, and treasury operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as a passion for leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly and annual close, including journal entries and intercompany reconciliations
  • Oversee fixed assets and lease accounting, ensuring accurate records and system maintenance
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with timely follow-ups
  • Prepare GST returns, statutory filings, and support corporate tax compliance
  • Perform variance analysis and periodic reporting to Head Office
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, Group policies, and SOX requirements
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
  • Prepare Currency Exposure Reports
  • Undertake quarterly reporting to the ultimate parent entity on treasury matters
  • Manage currency rate updates for the APAC region
  • Assist with Cashflow forecasting for the APAC region
  • Assist with the administration of bank accounts and corporate credit cards across the APAC region
  • Assist in the preparation, submission, and follow-up of Refundable Investment Credit (RIC) claims in compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or the Director of Accounting and Shared Services

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • CA or progress towards CA certification preferred
  • 3 years of experience in accounting
  • Proficiency in SAP is an advantage
  • Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups)
