Position Summary

The Accountant is the finance liaison between the aircraft management clients and the account managers. This position is directly responsible for accurate preparation of monthly client billing packages. The  accountant is held to providing highest of standards and excellent support to both internal and external  customers.  

This is a hybrid role, based from our Scottsdale, AZ office.  

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university and 3 years of related experience and/or formal training 

Ability to use Excel to create and maintain various schedules. 

At least 3 years of experience in Microsoft Office and Word to write emails and professional letters. 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and  percentages accurately. 

Ability to enter data and journal entries accurately. 

Able to work autonomously as well as a team player and follow through as each task requires. 

Able to work under pressure and multitask ensuring the results are of highest quality and accuracy. 

Ability to use Adobe to compile and redact documents. 

Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives. 

Main Responsibilities

Perform general accounting and invoicing activities, including the preparation, maintenance and 

reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules. 

Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles, in collaboration  with client service team members.  

Provide financial support including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget, addressing  client concerns in partnership with client service team members. 

Analyze and prepare statutory accounts and financial statements and reports. 

Conduct or assist in the documentation of accounting projects, verifying client data and account information  and timelines in various systems (i.e., SAP, JetPay, etc.) 

Ensure all accounting set up (and termination) actions and AC transition checklists are created and  maintained in Jet Aviation systems. 

Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network. 

 

Desired Characteristics

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for four-year degree and experience.

Intuitive and thinks outside-of-the-box to provide feedback and suggestions to improve processes and  efficiencies. 

Familiar with aviation terminologies, flight system, and SAP as a G/L system is a plus. 

Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Has a pleasant, friendly, and helpful manner to deliver the best experience to customers and colleagues.
