Position Summary
We are looking for a technically minded person who can create detailed illustrations based upon 3D and CAD data. Has a strong affinity for technical subjects or mechanical design, aerospace interest would be advantageous but not necessary. Be able to conceptualise assembly breakdowns both for parts listing and for illustrating.
As the chosen candidate you will work closely with fellow team members, engineers and controlling members in your daily tasks. As a technical illustrator you will need to collaborate as well as work on own initiative to execute work consignments under challenging timeframes.
Main Responsibilities
• Create and maintain Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC) and supplements in line with ATA standards.
• Develop and follow internal guidelines and procedures.
• Generate accurate parts lists from design data, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards.
• Produce isometric illustrations based on engineering data and parts lists.
• Interpret technical documentation such as mechanical/electrical drawings, service bulletins, and engineering orders.
• Track design changes and update illustrations accordingly.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
Minimum Requirements
• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Familiarity with tools like Isodraw, AutoCAD, TeamCenter, Arbortext Editor, NX, TC Viewer (training available).
• Good command of English, written and spoken.
• Interest in aerospace? That’s a plus—but not a must!
