Position Summary

We are driving excellence across business aviation through precision, performance, and an unwavering commitment to our customers. As we continue to develop innovative engineering solutions for complex aircraft programs, we are looking for a motivated engineer with expertise in aircraft acoustics and simulation.

Jet Aviation invites you to join our Stress Engineering team in Madrid and contribute to the analysis, development, and certification of aircraft interiors. In this role, you will focus on Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) modelling to predict cabin noise performance, support acoustic testing, and help deliver engineering solutions that meet our customers’ expectations for quality, efficiency, and comfort.

Your Role

  • Deliver Advanced Acoustic Simulations: Build, run, and maintain SEA models of aircraft cabins to estimate interior noise levels. Assess acoustic performance, conduct sensitivity and trade studies, and support design decisions balancing noise reduction, weight, and aircraft performance.
  • Connect Simulation with Testing: Compare simulation results with ground, flight, and laboratory test data, updating models to improve accuracy. Support aircraft test preparation and execution, as well as acoustic and vibration measurement processing, when required.
  • Develop Practical Engineering Solutions: Review design proposals and recommend acoustic improvements, including suitable materials and treatments for improved cabin noise performance.
  • Improve Tools and Processes: Develop Python, VBA, and other tools to automate modelling, post-processing, reporting, and repetitive tasks. Contribute to internal SEA and acoustic engineering standards, methods, guidelines, and tools.
  • Support Project Delivery: Prepare technical reports, estimate task effort, and track progress against budget, schedule, and quality targets. Collaborate with design, stress, and other engineering teams to support effective project execution.
  • Contribute Across Engineering: Support additional activities as required, including CFD, rapid decompression, flight physics, stress analysis, and other advanced engineering topics. Contribute to continuous improvement and process automation.

Who You Are

  • Engineering Professional: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably with an aviation or aerospace background. Experience in aircraft acoustics, vibration, or related disciplines is highly valued.
  • Experienced in Acoustic Modelling: Experience building SEA models using VA One, wave6, or similar tools, with confidence interpreting results and comparing them with test data.
  • Technically Curious and Solution-Oriented: Knowledge of Python, VBA, and 3D modelling, with an interest in developing efficient tools and processes. Willingness to expand your knowledge in aerodynamics, rapid decompression, flight physics, stress, and other advanced analysis areas.
  • Collaborative and Communicative: Ability to work effectively with design, stress, testing, and other engineering stakeholders while communicating clearly and contributing positively to a collaborative environment.
  • Proactive and Self-Motivated: Takes ownership, manages priorities effectively, and remains focused on challenging objectives. Brings a forward-thinking mindset and willingness to learn.
  • Committed to Our Values: Demonstrates values aligned with Jet Aviation’s principles of trust, honesty, alignment, and transparency. Proficient in English and comfortable working in an international environment.

Why Join Us

  • Make a Direct Contribution to Aircraft Comfort: Help develop quieter, more comfortable aircraft cabins through advanced simulation and practical engineering solutions.
  • Work on Complex Aviation Projects: Join a multidisciplinary Stress Engineering team and contribute to challenging aircraft programs involving simulation, testing, design, and certification support.
  • Develop Your Expertise: Expand your experience in aircraft acoustics, SEA modelling, testing, automation, and advanced engineering analysis alongside experienced professionals.
  • Improve the Way We Work: Help develop engineering tools, standards, and processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across the organization.

The minimum gross salary for this position is € 33k per year; depending on your experience, skills, and qualifications, the final offer may be higher.
