Position Summary

Join our team for a 6-month Master thesis internship to support our commitment to upholding stringent certification standards is vital to delivering high-performance aerospace solutions. We are currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented intern to support the development of structural analysis methodologies for large aircraft structures. This role offers hands-on experience with advanced engineering tools and real-world structural challenges. This internship offers a dynamic environment to develop your skills, expand your knowledge, and work alongside a motivated, multi-cultural team dedicated to innovation and excellence.

Your Role

•    Conduct a literature review on airframe design and current analysis methods (analytical, numerical, experimental), with a focus on Finite Element Method (FEM) applications in aerospace.
•    Develop structural analysis methodologies for key airframe components: skin, frames, stringers, and crossbeams, addressing relevant failure modes.
•    Integrate numerical data from FEMAP (via API) and Nastran output files to support the analysis process.
•    Implement the developed methodologies using Excel VBA, including a direct interface with finite element models.
•    Validate the approach using simplified analytical models or experimental data, and analyse stress, deformation, and critical failure regions.
•    Deliver insights and recommendations for methodology refinement and future application.

Your Profile

•    Ongoing university studies in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
•    Foundation in  structural analysis.
•    Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as EASA CS-25 is an advantage.
•    Experience with FEMAP, NX Nastran and Excel/VBA is beneficial.
•    Proactive, analytical, and quality-oriented approach to engineering problems.
•    Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
•    Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
