Position Summary
Internship Master Thesis – Fatigue Development of a Tool to Automate Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis of Aircraft Structures.
Join our team for a 6-month master’s thesis internship and contribute to our commitment to upholding stringent certification standards, which are vital for delivering high-performance aerospace solutions. We are currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented intern to support the development of fatigue and damage tolerance tools and workflows for the analysis of large aircraft structural components. This role offers hands-on experience with advanced engineering tools and real-world structural challenges. The internship provides a dynamic environment to develop your skills, expand your knowledge, and collaborate with a motivated, multicultural team dedicated to innovation and excellence.
Your Role
- Implement the analysis' procedures established in Jet Aviation fatigue and damage tolerance methodology into a tool that allows the partial or total automation of the calculation, using tools like FEMAP, NX Nastan and AFGROW.
- Automate the postprocessing of the results and inspections' thresholds and intervals determination.
- Perform comparative evaluations of different propagation scenarios and analyze the influence of key input parameters.
- Deliver insights and recommendations for methodology refinement and future application.
Your Profile
- Ongoing university studies in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Foundation in structural analysis.
- Experience with the topic of Structural Fatigue & Damage Tolerance is valued.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as EASA CS-25 is an advantage.
- Proactive, analytical, and quality-oriented approach to engineering problems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
