Captain A319

Position Summary

Step into an exciting and rewarding opportunity as an A319 Captain, where you will take command of aircraft operations while upholding the highest standards of safety, operational excellence, and customer service. As part of our flight operations team, you will operate the Airbus A319 fleet, ensuring safe, efficient, and professional flight operations in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Director of Flight Operations, you will play a key role in delivering safe and reliable aviation services.

Main Responsibilities

• Assume overall responsibility for the safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo onboard the aircraft.
• Ensure all flight operations are conducted in accordance with the Company Operations Manual (FOM), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all crew members are present at their assigned stations prior to take-off, final approach, and landing.
• Ensure that flight crew activities during critical phases of flight are limited to those necessary for the safe operation of the aircraft.
• Ensure flight data recorder (FDR) and cockpit voice recorder (CVR) systems are operated and handled in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate flight crew duties and workload to ensure effective teamwork and the highest standards of airmanship.
• Ensure accurate navigation, compliance with minimum safe altitudes, and adherence to operational flight requirements.
• Operate the aircraft in accordance with Airbus A319 limitations and ensure the correct use and management of all aircraft systems.
• Ensure strict adherence to aircraft checklists and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor fuel planning and ensure sufficient fuel reserves are maintained to complete the flight safely, including required final reserve fuel.
• Maintain effective communication and coordination with cabin crew to ensure all cabin safety requirements are met.
• Ensure flight documentation, technical logs, and operational records are completed accurately and promptly.
• Submit reports relating to incidents, occurrences, or safety matters when required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant aviation regulations, company procedures, Airbus A319 operations, and industry best practices.
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism, discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of the Company.
• Ensure compliance with the Company Operations Manual (FOM), Air Navigation Order (ANO), and all applicable aviation regulations.
• Ensure passengers receive appropriate safety briefings, including information on emergency exits and the use of safety and emergency equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with current Airbus A319 type rating.
• Minimum 5,000 total flight hours.
• Minimum 500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience on Airbus A319 or similar Airbus A320 family aircraft.
• Valid FAA, EASA, UK, or equivalent ICAO-recognised pilot licence.
• Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Strong knowledge of Airbus A319 aircraft systems, operational procedures, aviation regulations, and safety standards.
• Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Experience operating international routes and in varying operational environments, including adverse weather conditions.
• Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.

Work Environment

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
