Position Summary

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Crew Planner to join our Flight Operations team. In this key role, you’ll take charge of planning and coordinating crew resources to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient flight operations. You’ll work closely with the Director of Flight Operations and collaborate across departments, playing an active part in both the daily operation and long-term strategic planning. Your role

  • Define and plan crew resources: Determine minimum crew requirements per aircraft and develop yearly, monthly, and weekly rosters in coordination with the Director of Flight Operations, balancing client needs, operational efficiency, and compliance
  • Manage day-to-day crew operations: Monitor and adjust crew schedules in real time, track actual duty times, and ensure accurate documentation and follow-up
  • Coordinate crew logistics: Organize crew positioning, accommodation, and transport in close collaboration with the Travel Desk to ensure smooth operations
  • Support flight scheduling and cross-functional alignment: Work closely with Dispatch, Charter Sales, Recruitment, Training, and Maintenance teams to align crew planning with operational and long-term needs
  • Ensure compliance and safety: Integrate regulatory requirements and fatigue risk management into planning processes, and contribute to audits and safety management activities
  • Improve planning processes: Take part in projects and drive continuous improvements in crew planning and operational workflows

Your profile

  • Commercial apprenticeship or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a civil aviation environment
  • Proven experience in crew planning and/or crew control is mandatory
  • Experience in aircraft dispatch or related flight operations is a plus
  • Fluent in English; German and other languages are an advantage
  • Strong aviation knowledge and computer literacy (MS Office required)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing operational environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility and personal accountability
  • Creativity and initiative with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A true team player who can also work independently
