We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Captain to oversee all operations within the department. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, training, scheduling, and operational efficiency while balancing a 50% flying and 50% administrative workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead personnel management, including performance reviews, hiring, mentoring, and salary coordination.
- Oversee pilot training, scheduling, and professional development, including the management of currency, line checks, and ongoing training.
- Coordinate flight crew schedules, vacations, and operational needs.
- Serve as PIC and SIC for assigned aircraft and ensure crew qualifications.
- Lead flight department audits and IS-BAO recertification processes.
- Manage flight department reports and ensure timely and accurate tracking of operational data.
- Oversee different flight requests and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Management to ensure aircraft are maintained, serviced, and cleaned.
- Participate in professional development activities, including conferences and leadership initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Must possess an ATP with appropriate Corporate Aircraft Type Rating
- Obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical
- 7000 hours Total Fixed Wing
- 7-10 years of aviation experience
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in flight department management, including scheduling, training, and operations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
