Blade Repair Technician

Position Summary
The Blade Repair Technician is accountable to complete tasks as assigned by the Workshop Supervisor / Production Manager
Main Responsibilities
Quality, Safety and Environment
- Ensure work performed on assigned rotor blades is conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in company OH & S program and company safety management system.
Commercial Management
- Perform maintenance on components including but not limited to the repair of helicopter rotor blades to agreed timelines.
- Ensure the workshop supervisor is advised of any spare’s requirements in the correct timeframe to meet project deadlines.
- Record work performed in work packs for assigned projects and ensure they are complete and reflect customer requirements.
- Record daily hours and take action as directed to correct or prevent over-runs.
- Inform the supervisor of any additional work requirements over and above what has been quoted in order to inform and gain customer approval
Sales and Customer Management
- Provide regular feedback to the Workshop Supervisor or Production Manager on progress of planned maintenance.
- Provide input into response to customer queries and complaints.
Regulatory and Compliance
Ensure maintenance performed on rotor blades is conducted in compliance with the Civil Aviation regulations.

- Actively support and participate in the RBIH Middle East/Jet Aviation Core Values and Safety, Security and Environment policies and procedures as detailed in the RBIH Middle East/Jet Aviation Governance and Polices Manual.
- Component work packs are completed in compliance with regulatory, company and customer requirements.
- Ensure maintenance performed on assigned rotor blades is carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures and Civil Aviation Regulations.
- Identification of additional work requirements is accurate.
- Provide input into customer queries and/or complaints.
Minimum Requirements
- Working knowledge of sheet metal or composite repair procedures and Materials
- Effective communication including written and verbal skills
- Understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements for Aircraft maintenance
- Computer Literate at basic level in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems and Microsoft Outlook

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
