Education and Experience Requirements
 High School Diploma or GED required. Entry level position. Mainframe computer systems and or personal computer (common software used) experience. High aptitude in Microsoft Power Point, Excel and Word.

 Under direct supervision, assists in the co-ordination of all logistics tasks as assigned by Management. Assignments involve 
departmental tasks related to processing the procurement and repair of material both in- house, at suppliers or remote sites.

 Principle Duties and Responsibilities:  


Essential Functions:
 
1. Assist with all Program logistics as delegated by the Lead or Manager and as specifically related to sub-contract requirements.
 
2. Assist in providing direct liaison with U.S. Military logistics (or equivalent) personnel and contractor personnel at all site locations.
 
3. Assist in providing logistics support to contractor Field Service reps. and all site locations.
 
4. Assist in reviewing all logistics data, engineering change proposals, contract modificatio
ns and proposals.
 
5. Perform and/or assist with special projects.
 
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
 
 
Other Responsibilities:
 
1. Ability to coordinate harmoniously with other departments and internal/external customers.
 
2. Strong verbal communications and technical writing skills are essential.
 
3. Microsoft Office proficiency required. 
 
4. Knowledge of and capabilities using the following are highly desired: Cmp.net, CORRIDOR, and COGNOS 
 
5. Mainframe computer systems and or personal computer (common software 
used) experience required.
 
6. Must be able to work any shift and overtime, as required. 
 
7. Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small, restricted areas.
 
8. Able to lift 40 lbs.
 
9. Able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
 
10. Ability to work rotating shifts to include, nights, weekends and holidays. 

 

Position Summary

The Airworthiness Inspector physically inspects aircraft, aircraft components, and reviews paperwork to ensure that workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality, and that customer aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required documentation properly completed and filed.

Minimum Requirements

• High School graduate/GED. Airframe and Powerplant License required. Inspection Authorization Certification preferred.
• Five (5) years Gulfstream aircraft experience. Proficient in the utilization of Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA forms and documents. Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics and QC Procedures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Government clearance at SECRET level.

Main Responsibilities

1. Responsible for all Quality Control inspections on aircraft/components in the Repair Station.
2. Completes inspections of aircraft, engine, and component repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA approved/acceptable data.
3. Coordinates mechanical, electrical and inspection requirements on the aircraft during maintenance or outfitting.
4. Keeps accurate, neat and legible records of the work performed on aircraft/components.
5. Coordinates throughout assigned jobs with RTS to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced in a timely manner.
6. Conducts audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion on all aircraft prior to approval for return to service.
7. Ensures aircraft/components are airworthy prior to any flight activities.
8. Mentors technicians on effective documentation.

Main Responsibilities Cont.

1. Communicates with management as required to identify work assignments and delivery schedules.
2. Continually monitors repair station compliance with FAR Part 145 and the FAA accepted site Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.
3. Completes FAA required conformity inspections and complies certification data for presentation to the FAA for approval.
4. In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.
5. Performs other duties as required.
