Position Summary

As the ALSE ( Aeronautical Life Support Equipment) Technician you have the responsibility of PTS ALSE support within contract CASG/ASD/030/2015/S.

Main Responsibilities

  • Pre-flight, post-flight and bay servicing of aircrew life support equipment
  • Bay servicing of aircraft personal survival packs
  • Kitting and fitting out of aircrew with their personal life support equipment
  • Maintenance of ‘wet-drill’ training equipment
  • Management of ALSE & associated explosive ordnance within CofA management systems
  • Configuration management of ALSE within PTS Maintenance Management System
  • Provide ALSE service at deployed locations as identified within the Daily Flying program
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with PTS stakeholders including Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA), Pilatus and the Australian Defence Force (ADF)
  • Foster a sense of ‘Safety First’ within the Jet Aviation maintenance team
  • Actively support and participate in the Jet Aviation Core Values and Safety, Security and Environment policies and procedures as detailed in the
  • Jet Aviation Governance and Polices Manual
  • Promote the continual improvement processes including LEAN methodologies
  • Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network

Minimum Requirements

  • Maintenance Management
  • Certificate III Aeroskills (Aeronautical Life Support and Furnishings)
  • Demonstrated understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements for Aircraft maintenance, both civil & military (Part 145)
  • Computer Literate in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in a Customer Focused Work environment with multiple priorities and project deadlines
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritise.

Work Environment

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
