Your Opportunity
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME)- Structures is responsible for performing a broad range of heavy and line maintenance activities on aircraft maintained by the company whilst ensuring safe work practices.
Annual Salary AUD$64,462 to $119,714 + Super + Bonus.
Your Responsibilities
- Promote and drive Jet Aviation Values and Compliance policy and procedure to support the desired company and facility culture
- Be dedicated to exceeding the customers’ expectations and delivering an efficient operation, whilst maintaining a safe environment.
- Ensure that the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is carried out in accordance with OEM and other approved publications/instructions using approved parts supplied from approved sources.
- Make certain that you have been correctly trained and authorised to carry out the work assigned to them and that the procedures laid down in the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) are followed.
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at the general direction of LAMEs or other authorised delegates.
- Ensure compliance with all AD’s, SBs, etc. prior to expiry of compliance and relevant to the aircraft.
- Assist to carry out inspection and maintenance co-ordination and certification.
- Assist to ensure all entries and certifications for work undertaken is completed and certified;
- Ensure all data, release notes and certificates of conformance for components and parts used during servicing or maintenance are accompanying the respective work sheet/work package.
- Actively participate in the Quality and Safety Management System applications.
- Ensure FOD control procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure OH & S/WHS requirements are adhered to.
- Ensure GSE is serviceable and report any defects or deficiencies.
- Ensure Approved Maintenance Data used is current and applicable.
- Ensure Tool control requirements are adhered to.
- Assist with defect analysis and investigations.
- Carry out aircraft washing and associated corrosion control inspection.
- Carry out aircraft towing and repositioning.
- Carry out aircraft refuelling.
- Carry out aircraft marshalling in accordance with standard aviation industry signals.
- Work with the Quality and Aviation Safety Manager in the maintenance of Quality and Aviation Safety responsibilities including participation in audits, technical investigations as it applies to ‘Human Factors in Maintenance’.
Your Responsibilities Cont.
- Work with the Crew Leaders to foster a sense of ‘Safety First’ within the technical workforce.
- Maintain good relationships with the customer.
- Report and raise any observations, through the appropriate process, with regard to continuous improvement, safety management and customer satisfaction.
- Accountable for the creation and updating of work orders in a timely manner.
- Accountable for the write-up and sign-off of work completed each day.
- Contribute to the request and management of tooling during projects within the hangar.
- Contribute to hangar facility and general project housekeeping in line with 5S Program.
- Contribute towards the identification and reporting of all OHS issues through Jet Aviation Safety Management System (Jet Safe).
- Monitor the use of tooling; ensuring that the tagging system is being used correctly with assigned individual tags.
- Monitor the notification of employee non-compliance as well as notification of own non-compliance.
- Other duties as may be directed by your supervisor to support both Company and Customer success.
- Contribute towards the request of employee overtime when necessary.
- Contribute to hand-over at end of every shift.
- Assist with monitoring of activities to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Accountable for confirming daily planner input and updates as required.
- Perform heavy and line base maintenance on various types of aircraft in line with budgets and scheduling.
- Perform component sanding and spray-painting.
- Perform component part removal and maintenance.
- Contribute towards the request, management and removal (un-issue) of spares during projects.
- Advise Supervising Hangar Engineers of work progress to be communicated to the HOC.
- Monitor the identification of ASR’s with Supervising Hangar Engineers.
- Other duties as may be directed to ensure operational and customer success.
What will help you to Succeed?
- Minimum Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures)
- Able to perform various types of aircraft maintenance.
- Experience working in an aircraft maintenance facility.
- Ability to work in a changing environments.
- Demonstrated understanding of aviation regulatory and safety requirements performing aircraft maintenance.
- Computer literate in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Office Suite.
- Common courtesy and customer orientation
- Ability to work flexible schedules and in various weather conditions as well as meeting minimum physical requirements of the job.
