Your Opportunity

As a Qualified Mechanic Spray Painter, you will play an important role in ensuring aircraft components are finished to the highest industry standards.

Working within our Component Services team, you will be responsible for spray painting and surface finishing while ensuring all work meets strict safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.

You will collaborate with our Leading Hand, Planning and Project teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on time.

Your Responsibilities

As a Qualified Mechanic Spray Painter, you will:

  • Perform spray painting and surface finishing of assigned aircraft components in accordance with company policies and Civil Aviation Regulations
  • Maintain clear communication with the Leading Hand, Project and Planning teams regarding project progress
  • Ensure the correct paint stock and materials are ordered and available for assigned projects
  • Take accountability for meeting production targets and quality standards
  • Identify and communicate requirements for materials, equipment, or tooling
  • Support other operational areas when required across the business, not limited to the paint shop
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic English language skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Certificate in Aircraft Surface and Finishing (or equivalent) – desirable
  • Minimum two years’ experience in an aviation or commercial paint workshop – desirable
  • Customer-focused attitude and professional conduct
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and meet the physical demands of the role

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in aircraft component maintenance
  • Supervisory experience in an aircraft maintenance facility (advantageous)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Results-driven mindset with high personal accountability
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently
