Your Opportunity
Our Cairns Based Avionics Workshops provide high quality Component Maintenance, including Electronics, Instrumentation and Electrical systems for international and domestic aviation customers. As a key member of our Avionics team, you will safely and efficiently execute Avionics Component Maintenance activities.
This is your opportunity, as a qualified and experienced Avionics Technician to support the completion of aircraft systems component repairs, across a number of Avionic trade areas.
This position involves working in a controlled laboratory style workshop environment, where you will perform intricate diagnostics, repairs, and testing on avionics components. As an Avionics Workshop Technician you will collaborate with supervisors, maintenance support personnel, and other technicians to ensure avionics components are restored to optimal performance standards and contribute to the overall safety and efficiency of systems.
Annual Salary from AUD $70,000 – $100,000 + Super
What will help you to succeed?
- Relevant trade qualification including but not limited to Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) or other relevant electronics / avionics field
- Experience in component level repairs on electronic and electro-mechanical aeronautical product including soldering, testing, replacing and fault-finding
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
- Demonstrated understanding of aviation regulatory requirements for aircraft systems maintenance, industry standards and safety protocols
- Strong understanding of avionics systems, electronic components, and circuitry
- Exposure to avionics workshop environment
- Ability to work under general guidance in a compliance regulated environment.
- Demonstrated reliability with positive and proactive attitude
- Well-developed trade knowledge in a high-quality customer focused commercial delivery environment
- Computer literate at intermediate level preferably including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Demonstrated understanding of aviation regulatory requirements for aircraft systems maintenance
- Electronic Trade qualified Technicians with equivalent non-aviation experience are encouraged to apply
