Your Opportunity

Jet Aviation Defence is seeking an experienced Manager of Hangar Services to lead scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for the PTS AMO at RAAF Base Pearce.
 
This is an opportunity to provide technical leadership within a safety-critical aviation environment, working closely with AMO personnel, the Continuing Airworthiness Supervisor, Pilatus Engineering Support, Flight Line, PTS Management, Team 21 partners and Jet Aviation’s corporate functions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the AMO from a technical perspective, providing advice and technical briefings to crew, staff and the Senior Maintenance Manager as required.
  • Establish and maintain safe, compliant and efficient maintenance activities in accordance with applicable Jet Aviation policies and DASR requirements.
  • Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with the Continuing Airworthiness Supervisor to support timely and effective aircraft availability.
  • Liaise with the Pilatus Engineering Support Team to resolve technical and spares-related issues.
  • Manage hangar and ALSE rosters, manpower allocations and overtime within budget forecasts.
  • Coordinate with the Flight Line Coordinator to ensure manpower is effectively allocated across Flight Line and maintenance requirements.
  • Review deferred defects, daily briefs and technical information, identifying recommendations to improve maintenance efficiency and compliance.
  • Promote continual improvement and LEAN methodologies, and actively participate in Business Improvement meetings.
  • Approve purchase orders in accordance with DOA guidelines and control workshop expenditure.
  • Manage and administer individual development plans with staff.
  • Make recommendations regarding AMO authorities and perform B- and C-category CRS functions.
  • Perform dispatch-to-operator functions and fulfil the site EO management role, maintaining compliance with eDEOP 101.
  • Plan and execute 2FTS routine deployments and rescues.
  • Assist with error investigations and work with the LMA Facilities Coordinator to minimise the impact of facilities issues on maintenance activities.

  • DASR MAML C-category certification with an associated trade B-category licence.
  • PC-21 aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of Jet Aviation policies and DASR regulations.
