Your Opportunity
As Flight Line Coordinator you will be responsible for the PTS Flight-Line Operations at Jet Aviations, Pearce RAAF Base, supporting Defence operational contracts.
Your Responsibilities
Flight Line Coordinator (FLC) acts as the main Safety and Manpower coordinator of Flight Line activity. As the focus of all Flight Line activities including Flight Line maintenance, the FLC acts on behalf of the SMM in respect of the direct supervision of all line activities.
As the FLC is responsible for the activity on the flight line, he/she shall supervise the Flight Line technicians to ensure that the flying programme is executed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Additionally the incumbent will:
- Provide interface between aircrew on the Flight Line and other areas of the JA team including HMC and CAM-S;
- Ensure that the Flight Line technicians are dedicated to exceeding the customers’ expectations and delivering an efficient operation, whilst maintaining a safe environment;
- Make certain that the flight line activities is carried out in accordance with the MOE, including; FOD control, aircraft washing, documentation, replenishment activity, before flight, after flight, and turnarounds;
- Exercise supervision to ensure that all maintenance records and certifications for work undertaken is completed and certified in accordance with AMO documented procedures;
- Plan, direct and supervise line maintenance activities;
- Ensure that FOD control procedures are followed;
- Exercise maintenance crew change handover liaison and complete the crew change handover log;
- Ensure GSE is serviceable and report any defects or deficiencies to CAMS for follow- up action;
- Ensure tool control requirements are followed. In particular, ensure that tool control is cleared at the nominated crew change time;
- Assist with defect and other technical analysis and investigations including the preparation of draft defect reports and similar documents as requested by the SMM
- Brief the SMM on routine and extraordinary maintenance matters relating to line maintenance;
- Ensure that all Company premises are secured and locked prior to the completion of work for the day. In this respect a physical check of all external locks and a sign off is to be made prior to departure from Company premises;
- Raise with the SMM/Hangar Co-Ordinator any observations relating to improvements to processes or procedures

- Maintenance Management
- Demonstrated understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements for Aircraft maintenance, both civil & military (Part M, 145) and Industry regulatory requirements (ISO 9001:2008; W&HS Act)
- Computer Literate in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience in a Customer Focused Work environment with multiple priorities and project deadlines
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritise
- Ability to undertake simple and complex problem solving
