Workshop Technician - Cabinet Shop

Main Responsibilities

• Operates CNC Machines according to provided programs, works in conjunction with programming office to maintain, improve and recommend efficient machining methods with a high level of safety, quality, detail and productivity.
  
• Works actively and in good intelligence within CNC Programmers Team.
  
• Loads and unloads parts and final assemblies into CNC Machines for manufacturing processes.
  
• Ability to load/download CNC programs via computer.
  
• Operates equipment to produce parts as assigned and monitors machines to detect equipment or process errors, stops machines if necessary to prevent failures and informs supervisor of job status as required.
  
• Inspects parts produced to ensure compliance with specifications indicated on drawings or other instructions.
  
• Identifies part numbers on all pieces when parts have been removed from CNC machine.
  
• Applies edge filler; performs inserts and glues Aluminium/wood blocks on/into composite panels.
  
• Cuts different material (i.e., Honeycomb panels, Plywood…) to proper dimensions per 3D & 2D engineering drawings.
  
• Performs basic preventative maintenance activities on his CNC Machines.
  
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Duties

• Works according to Jet Aviation procedures, technical instructions, and aviation regulations.
  
• Responsible for own work quality and timely completion.
  
• Achieves targets sets by his/her supervision or management.
  
• Assures professional standards are maintained.
  
• Reports any defects to supervision.
  
• Maintains CNC Machines & cutting tools in a safe and proper manner as per defined Standardized library tool Inventory.
  
• Reports any defects to supervision.
  
• Adaptability to learn new techniques and works with new material related to aircraft interiors.
  
• Works precisely in accordance with requirements.
  
• Maintains traceability of all components, products, parts used or manufactured in accordance with JBSL process.
  
• Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) and in accordance with JA policy.
  
• Maintains a clean and safe work area (5S) and adheres to all safety and environmental regulations and requirements.
  
• Research approved documents in JPMS IT platform.
  
• Responsible for the quality of their own work.
  
• Supports EH&S, 5S monthly Audits and Lean Manufacturing.
  
• Supports continuous improvement actions.
