Position Summary
Are you a hands-on professional who takes pride in precision work? Do you enjoy working with tools, assembling components, and seeing tangible results from your efforts? Then turn your practical skills into a career in business aviation with Jet Aviation in Basel. This 12-month contract is your chance to gain specialized aircraft assembly experience, guided by industry experts - no prior aerospace background required.
As an Associate Workshop Technician, you will play an important role in the construction of internal aircraft structures (carcass assemblies) - essential components that form the backbone of every aircraft. With comprehensive training and guidance from expert mentors, you will gain the technical skills and confidence needed to excel in this specialized field.
Your mission
This full-time role begins with a structured 3-month training program, starting on 15 January 2026, designed to build your expertise step-by-step. You will learn how to:
- Assemble and install internal aircraft structures to exacting industry standards
- Interpret technical drawings and follow engineering specifications
- Safely use specialized hand and power tools
- Deliver precise, high-quality work that meets aviation safety requirements
Following training, you will become a member of our workshop team contributing directly to completion projects.

Your profile
You are someone who enjoys working with your hands, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is eager to learn something new. You may have a background in:
- Carpentry, plumbing, electrical installation, or automotive repair
- General mechanical, fabrication, or other skilled trades
- Any role requiring precision, attention to detail, and tool-handling skills
You bring:
- Steady hands and a sharp eye for precision workmanship
- A commitment to safety and teamwork
- The physical ability to work in dynamic workshop environments
- Basic English skills to follow technical and safety documentation
- A positive, curious attitude and willingness to learn
