Position Summary
Take the next step in your aerospace career with a leadership role that makes an impact—overseeing Jet Aviation’s Sheet Metal team and ensuring the highest standards of structural repair, modification, and fabrication, while supporting overall project execution in line with safety, quality, and delivery targets.
Your role
- Lead a skilled workshop team: Manage and support up to 10 technicians, providing direction, coaching, and oversight to ensure consistent performance and adherence to standards.
- Oversee daily operations: Coordinate and supervise day-to-day activities in the sheet metal maintenance shop to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals.
- Ensure task quality and compliance: Assign tasks, verify completion, and ensure all work follows Jet Aviation procedures and aviation authority requirements.
- Collaborate across functions: Work closely with internal departments and external suppliers to maintain project efficiency and clear communication.
- Manage project documentation and progress: Ensure all work aligns with project documentation, work breakdown structures, and performance metrics such as earned value.
- Maintain a strong safety culture: Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, proactively identify risks, and promote accountability to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Facilitate clear team communication: Communicate company updates and department goals to the team and escalate key feedback or concerns to leadership.
- Promote engagement and development: Hold regular check-ins, encourage feedback, recognize achievements, and support professional growth within your team.
Your profile
- Previous experience in a leadership role in an aviation maintenance environment.
- Valid Swiss S-license.
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems, sheet metal structures, and maintenance documentation.
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, conflict resolution, and team development.
- Solid understanding of project management principles, including time and cost control.
- Familiarity with aviation regulations (FOCA, EASA, FAA) and release authorization requirements.
- Comfortable working with budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Proficient in SAP ERP (or similar systems) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good English skills, both written and spoken; able to understand technical documentation
- French or German language skills are an advantage
- A team-oriented, self-motivated mindset with the ability to thrive under pressure
