Position Summary

This position is responsible for successfully delivering Acoustics solutions for assigned aircraft. You will contribute to daily operations and activities to ensure project results are met respecting budget, schedule, and quality targets. As Jet Aviation’s Stress Engineer, you will be collaborating closely with various stakeholders throughout the company to ensure project objectives are met. Furthermore, you will participate in keeping the company competitive advantage in cabin noise and in proposing innovate solutions. You will also follow the acoustic solutions from architecture definition to hand on finite product delivery.

Your Mission

 

Structural analysis & solution development

  • Perform structural analyses including Static, Fatigue, Damage Tolerance, and Rapid Decompression on primary and secondary aircraft structures.
  • Support the development of certifiable technical solutions compliant with customer, company & regulatory requirements.


Documentation & test support

  • Validate engineering drawings and generate technical reports.
  • Participate and/or witness structural tests and compile corresponding reports.
  • Maintain and update technical proposals and studies within quote documentation.


Project scope & evaluation

  • Participate in project aircraft evaluation to develop functional group workscope for engineering project management approval.
  • Review aircraft configurations to assess feasibility, accuracy, and completeness of the proposed work.


Innovation & continuous improvement

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering workflows and reduce non-value-added efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of internal tools and methods for stress analysis.
  • Identify and address cost or weight reduction opportunities and identify any process deviations in line with corporate policies.

 

Team collaboration & leadership

  • Collaborate on cross-functional engineering projects.
  • Take the lead on small-scale projects when required.

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Up to 3 years’ experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Solid understanding of Finite Element Modeling, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis.
  • Proficiency with FMAP and NX Nastran and programming tools (e.g., Visual Basic).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, forward thinking, and self-motivated team player.
  • Ability to manage priorities of the job effectively and efficiently.
  • Fluent in English;  German and/or French are a plus.
