Position Summary

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex aircraft maintenance projects for Airbus and Boeing aircraft from initial planning and quotation through aircraft release to service and final closure. Acting as the primary point of contact for the customer, you will coordinate multifunctional teams and ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements.

You will balance customer satisfaction with strong operational and financial performance in a fast-paced business aviation environment.

Your role

  • Lead aircraft maintenance projects from initial planning through successful completion and aircraft release to service.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Planning, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Billing, and Maintenance Operations to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and execution plans, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and on time.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers by providing regular project updates, managing expectations, and building strong, long-term relationships.
  • Monitor overall project performance, including project progress, planned hours versus budget, Estimate at Completion (EAC), financial results, gross profit performance (GP%), risks and opportunities, mitigation strategies, payment milestones, Additional Work Requests (AWRs), warranty cases, and other relevant project performance indicators.
  • Manage scope changes, Additional Work Requests, and related commercial impacts, ensuring timely quotation, customer approval, communication, and implementation.
  • Oversee project quality throughout the entire lifecycle, ensuring quality gates are defined, implemented, monitored, and consistently met in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive collaboration across operational and support functions, facilitating decisions, resolving issues, and removing obstacles to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality, regulatory, contractual, and documentation requirements, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the consistent application of project management best practices.

Your profile

  • You have a degree in project management, aviation, engineering, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience. PMP® certification or an equivalent qualification, such as PRINCE2, is required.
  • You bring at least three years of experience in project management, aircraft maintenance, aviation operations, or a comparable technical and commercial environment, including experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • You have strong technical knowledge of business aviation, ideally with experience managing Airbus and Boeing maintenance projects, and a sound understanding of project planning, risk management, change control, quality, and customer communication.
  • You possess strong financial and commercial awareness, including knowledge of budgets, cost control, profitability, invoicing, payment milestones, estimate at completion, and gross profit performance. Experience with SAP and aviation systems such as CMP or CAMP is an advantage.
  • You are customer-focused, decisive, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills are essential.
