Position Summary
As a Quality Engineer at Jet Aviation, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding the excellence of our operations. From auditing suppliers and facilities to investigating safety incidents and delivering impactful training, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to uphold the highest standards in quality, compliance, and workplace safety. Your mission
- Maintain quality and safety standards: Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulations (Part 145 / Part 21), Jet Aviation and General Dynamics policies, and internal procedures, while driving continuous improvement of products, services, and work environments.
- Plan, lead, and conduct audits: Perform internal and external audits in accordance with the Part 145 / Part 21 audit program, including supplier, facility, tooling, and process audits. Manage audit resources, support IS-BAH and customer audits and ensure effective closure of findings.
- Investigate occurrences and drive corrective actions: Process occurrence reports, conduct MEDA and occurrence investigations, perform root cause analyses, and propose corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and authority liaison: Liaise with National Aviation Authorities (e.g. FOCA, EASA, FAA), customers, and OEMs during audits. Support follow-up on findings, evaluate one-off authorizations, and ensure timely and compliant responses.
- Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation: Review, update, and maintain Part 145 / Part 21 manuals, procedures, capability lists, and quality documentation to ensure compliance, clarity, and system efficiency.
- Support certifying staff and authorizations: Manage internal certifying staff authorizations and support capability list amendments in line with regulatory requirements.
- Promote quality awareness and training: Identify training needs, conduct briefings, coach operational staff, and support MOE / POE awareness programs to strengthen quality and safety culture.

- Monitor and maintain training records: Ensure accurate documentation of training and qualifications to demonstrate compliance and audit readiness.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives: Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects, promote best practices, and encourage adoption of quality standards across the organization.
- Manage quality systems and reporting tools: Oversee quality reporting systems and maintain the QEHS SharePoint page, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and traceability of data.
- Perform additional quality-related tasks: Carry out other duties as assigned by management in support of quality, safety, and compliance objectives.

Your profile
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience in the aviation industry, with relevant experience in quality assurance or quality control.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, processes, and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with quality and safety management tools, concepts, and methodologies.
- Knowledge of EASA regulations (Part 145, Part M, Part 21G, Part 21J, Part 66), SMS, ISO9000, Human Factors, and MEDA investigation.
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Aeronautical Engineering, or ICAO Aircraft Maintenance License or Pilot’s License.
- Strong analytical, report writing, and procedure development skills.
- Self-starter with initiative, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to drive quality programs to successful completion.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal); fluency in French and/or German is a plus.
