Position Summary
We are looking for a technically minded stundent with a passion for mechanical design and a keen eye for detail. You should be able to conceptualize complex assemblies and translate 3D and CAD data into clear, accurate illustrations.
Your Role
- Support the creation of Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC) and supplements in accordance with ATA chapters
- Assist in maintaining internal documentation standards and procedures
- Independently generate parts lists based on design data and airworthiness requirements
- Create isometric illustrations from engineering drawings and CAD models
- Interpret and apply engineering documentation (e.g., mechanical/electrical drawings, service bulletins)
- Contribute to reporting and tracking tools for illustration progress
- Revise illustrations based on design changes and feedback
- Collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams
Your Profile
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., technical design, industrial design, mechanical engineering or similar). Matriculation throughout the internship is required.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Familiarity with tools such as IsoDraw, AutoCAD, TeamCenter, Arbortext Editor, NX, and TC Viewer is an advantage (training will be provided)
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or German is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
