Position Summary

As GSE Electrical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the process of maintenance and repair of Jet Aviation Ground Support Equipment’s.

You will join a team safeguarding a cost-efficient and principle on the entire process of Maintenance of GSE equipment’s, supporting Company goals in costs optimization, operational efficiencies whilst delivering upmost customer service.

Main responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair on various ground support equipment’s including but not limited to jacks, ground power, hydraulic rigs, multiple stairs, platforms, towbars, stands, pumps, lifters, various trolleys, mobile elevating work platforms, air conditioning units and forklifts.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems especially on electrical items and develop solutions to resolve issues.
  • Repair or replace faulty electrical components, including wiring, switches, relays and control panels.
  • Manage inventory of electrical spare parts and ensure availability when needed for repairs.
  • Create reports on GSE maintenance and repairs performed and any recommendations for improvements.
  • Liaise with external companies regarding electrical failures, problem solving and parts selection.
  • Follow aviation regulations (EASA, FAA…)
  • Actively participate to continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with other departments.
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols (work instructions, guidelines, personal protective equipment...)
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in electrical systems and GSE technology.

Minimum Requirements

  • Two-year technical degree in the field of electricity, industrial maintenance or equivalent
  • Several years of work experience and corresponding knowledge in the field of GSE or maintenance and repair are required.
  • Good English language skills in both written and spoken communication for daily communication and documentation.
  • German language skill is an advantage.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office Package
  • Good Knowledge on electric & electronic systems, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical components.
  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment and tools.
  • Knowledge on hydraulic & mechanic systems is an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of the aerospace industry and the regulatory framework is an advantage
