Position Summary


Join our Cabinet Shop at Jet Aviation, to contribute to the creation of innovative interior designs for luxury aircraft, which are as functional as they are elegant. The cabinet maker team’s journey is to manufacture monuments, whether new parts or to refurbish monuments, as per the design and engineering requirements. Finishes integration and covering with the finest materials is then carried out before going to the finishing shop.
As a GAC Cabinet Shop Manager for our Cabinet Shop, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of skilled production technicians, guiding them in creating and assembling monuments with precision and excellence. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Your mission

 

  • Lead and Manage Cabinet Shop Operations: Oversee daily activities for GAC projects, ensuring execution is in line with schedule, budget, quality standards, and Jet Aviation working practices.
  • Coordinate Resources and Planning: Review manpower, conduct hiring interviews, and manage weekly planning while aligning resources to workload, budget, and project scope.
  • Monitor Project Performance: Track earned value, update the T4 and E-ETC files, and maintain accurate WBS and capacity (CAPA) data to reflect real-time progress and shop loading.
  • Ensure Accurate Reporting: Provide timely updates on shop activity status to internal stakeholders, including the Project Production Manager, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process optimizations, lead 5S initiatives, and contribute to the development of team competencies and working methods.
  • Supervise Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe, clean, and organized working environment. Enforce compliance with aviation regulations (FOCA, EASA, FAA) and internal documentation requirements.
  • Facilitate Daily Operations: Lead morning shop meetings, manage task progress and closure in SAP, and ensure efficient communication and coordination with engineering, departments, and support teams.
  • Support Audit and Quality Actions: Implement corrective actions resulting from internal and external audits, ensuring quality and regulatory adherence.
  • Foster Team Development: Encourage professional growth, skill-building, and engagement among team members while promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Manage Technical and System Tools: Utilize SAP, SmarTeam, Microsoft Office, and aviation documentation (AMM, SRM, IPC, CPR, PR, TI, job cards, MTT, DWGs) to support operations effectively.

Your profile

 

  • Completed apprenticeship with appropriate educational qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills with capability to guide up to 6-8 employees.
  • Minimum 3-year experience in aviation industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of aviation documentation and production processes (Part 21G 21J – 145 regulations).
  • Ability to read & understand Engineering data (drawings & processes).
  • Proactive, highly flexible, ability to work and stay calm under pressure., and self-motivated team player.
  • Fluency in English, minimum C1 (C2 preferred) / with ability to read and understand maintenance tasks in English manuals.
