Position Summary


Jet Aviation Basel operates one of the world’s leading VIP aircraft paint facilities. In our completions centre, we paint new Gulfstream G700s and other business jets to the highest standard in the industry – full liveries, complex designs and flawless finishes. We are growing our paint team and looking for painters who take pride in their work.

Your mission

  • Prepare aircraft surfaces: cleaning, sanding and masking
  • Mix and apply primers, basecoats and topcoats using various techniques, delivering flawless coverage and finish
  • Perform paint repairs, color matching and polishing to the highest standard
  • Prepare and apply livery stencils, lettering, decals and insignias
  • Work to OEM specifications and internal quality standards, with documented inspection gates

Your profile

  • Proven experience as a painter with a good understanding of different techniques and materials, preferably in the aviation, automotive or railway industry
  • Sound knowledge of paint preparation, mixing and application processes
  • Skilled in paint repairs, color matching and polishing
  • Familiar with paint-related products and manufacturers
  • Quality-driven with strong attention to detail – you’d rather do it right than do it twice
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team, to deadlines, in a delivery-critical environment
  • Comfortable working at height on lifts and scaffolding
  • Comprehensive English skills – any other language is a plus
