Your Opportunity

As a Training Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and monitoring the delivery of various training programs, including apprenticeships, cadetships, qualifications, and technical/non-technical training. Your dedication will ensure that our team members gain the necessary technical competencies to excel in their roles safely and effectively.

Your Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor the delivery of apprenticeship, cadetship, diploma and other technical and non-technical training programs, to ensure that employees gain the technical competencies required to undertake their work in a skilled, safe and effective manner
  • Coordinate all aspects of an employee’s training plan, specifically; induction, RTO training (including block release) and specific licensing
  • Facilitate apprentice welfare checks and performance reviews in consultation with the Maintenance Manager and other identified stakeholders, including the RTO’s to ensure the employee is progressing to plan
  • Actively advocate Apprenticeships and Traineeships through the coordination of Community Engagement Initiatives, Work Experience Programs and Pre-apprenticeship Programs
  • Work within frameworks to provide timeframes for theoretical and practical learning environments within the apprenticeship, traineeship or diploma
  • Contribute to the planning and review of assessment processes required to ensure compliance with government legislation, training frameworks and endorsed national and industry standards
  • Provide assistance and information to promote the employment of Apprentices, including liaison with workplace managers and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective management of the learning
  • Ensure the effective communication of information concerning training programs (apprentice, traineeship, diploma etc), policy and procedures to promote the adoption of consistent processes and standards
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate training plans and programs to support training needs applicable to business best practices
  • Act as the first point of contact for all technical training, and training programs queries
  • Implement corrective actions where non-conformances related to training are identified
  • Oversee, maintain and track all training records and electronic databases
  • Liaise with Managers to ensure the highest standards of training and compliance
  • Liaise with all key stakeholders to ensure training programs are current, relevant and benchmarked against industry standards
  • Ensure the correct use of training records and supervise training records flow after training completion
  • Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
  • Liaise closely with the Quality & Compliance department to develop a training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
  • Track and document all technical training requirements for the business in respective learning management system
  • Manage individual employee technical & non-technical training programs, including but not limited to, Apprenticeships, Traineeships and Type Training, working closely with Quality and engineering teams for alignment and responsibilities
  • Assess training needs and results, and modify existing programs
  • Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network

What will help you Succeed

  • Qualifications certification 4 in training and assessment preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in technical training area
  • developed knowledge of training design, processes, procedures, and concepts in adult learning
  • Strong understanding of broader business aviation context
  • Relationship Management with the influence to achieve results from employees
  • Demonstrated understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements for Aircraft maintenance
  • Computer literate in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve high levels of performance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective solutions
  • Ability to deliver training within classroom and off-site locations.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and in various weather conditions as well as meeting minimum physical requirements of the job 
  • Customer service and safety focused.
  • 4+ years Aviation industry or related associated industry experience is an advantage
  • Excellent communications, customer service and people skills
