As the Training Administration and Compliance at Cairns MRO, you will oversee the full scope of technical and non-technical training services for the site. Working closely with operational leaders and stakeholders, you will ensure our training programs support regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and employee development.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will take ownership of the training and compliance framework for the Cairns MRO operation, including:
- Training Program Management – Establish and maintain the Cairns MRO technical and non-technical training calendar aligned with operational requirements, regulatory frameworks, and company policies.
- Mandatory Training Coordination – Ensure all resources and logistics are in place for the successful delivery of mandatory training for Cairns team members.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support workforce development initiatives and manage training expectations.
- Reporting & Insights – Provide training and compliance reports to support effective employee management and development.
- Apprenticeship Lifecycle Management – Facilitate end-to-end apprentice management including onboarding, training plans, progress monitoring, mentoring, and assessment compliance.
- Training Records & Data Integrity – Maintain accurate, confidential and compliant employee training records.
- Training Systems & Projects – Support the implementation and improvement of training systems and development initiatives.
- Industry Representation – Represent Jet Aviation with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the wider General Dynamics network when required.
What Will Help You Succeed
To thrive in this role, you will bring a blend of aviation industry knowledge, training expertise, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in aviation, ideally within an MRO environment and across multiple regulatory frameworks
- Working knowledge of Workplace Health, Safety and Environmental (WHSE) requirements
- Relevant qualification in education, training and assessment, human resources or similar discipline
- Previous experience within an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network or VET organisation
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience developing competency-based training courseware
- Experience delivering training and assessment programs
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written communication and computer literacy
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capability
- Ability to prioritise and manage workloads independently
- High level of discretion, confidentiality and professional judgement
