Jet Aviation is currently seeking B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join their growing team in Cairns. Your Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, both line and heavy maintenance, to OEM and approved standards
  • Support inspections, defect analysis, and component maintenance
  • Participate in aircraft movements, including towing, marshalling, and refuelling
  • Maintain compliance with aviation safety regulations, quality systems, and workplace safety standards
  • Accurately document and certify all maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with LAMEs, Crew Leaders, and QA/Safety teams to maintain the highest operational standards
  • Play a role in continuous improvement and drive safe, efficient outcomes for every project

What will help you to Succeed

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements for aircraft systems maintenance.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in highly compliant environment.
  • Experience working in aircraft maintenance across line and/or heavy maintenance activities.
  • Sound knowledge of CASA regulations and safety management systems
  • Ability to follow procedures and technical documentation with attention to detail
  • Solid computer skills (ERP systems, MS Office)
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shifts and changing schedules
  • Strong work ethic, with a team-oriented and proactive attitude

Work Environment

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
